A trip up to our favorate lake. I have not seen many pine cones grow UP but I guess it happens.

It was time to plant our own cache, and what better a place than this. At 8050 feet above sea level, we have spent a lot of nights up here telling stories and drinking beer. What a beautiful place to have access to.
Top pic is of younger brother and I in our search for our first geocache. This was just after we found it. Lots of fun, get out there and find one for yourself.

Our ride up to a high mountain lake for a second cache find. What a rocky SOB!!! I would not recomend taking a truck up this road anymore. We ended up at over 9000 foot above sea level. There was still snow at the first of August. Got to love that.

Just a few shots of the newest hops that are being grown for the greater good. The centennial has really taken off since this photo with a total of 8 bines growing to date. I have high hopes for these hops. They should make some great beer.

Who says dark beer is heavy

My hot liquor tank and boil kettle and mash tun.
Inside my boil kettle and mash tun.
This is where the beer is chilled in my fridge. I have 3 taps to choose from and another soon to come.

Snowed like crazy here a few days ago. This was the first time my youngest was able to enjoy this begining of winter. He really had a good time chasing snow flakes and making snow balls. This one can fly too.

this is what i have been working on the last few weeks. we had a problem with a bare field, the dust was unbearable. with a little help from some different people, we have been able to get a nice growth of barley and grass on the 5 acres that i am forced to care for ;). it could be worse, i could live in a city. the second picture is of the watering system i came to use. after a lot of questions and several visits to differnt places, it became clear to me that this was the system for me,
